Dmitry Walker, PharmD, MS, is the Assistant Director of Oncology and Investigational Drug Pharmacy Services at WVU Medicine.
Dr. Walker received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and Spanish from Case Western Reserve University in 2013, a doctor of pharmacy degree (cum laude) from The Ohio State University in 2017, and a master’s degree in health-systems pharmacy administration from University of Wisconsin in 2019. He completed an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited, two-year combined Health-Systems Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) residency at University of Wisconsin Health in Madison, WI.
Dr. Walker is actively involved in multiple pharmacy professional organizations. He serves as the vice-chair of the Vizient Professional Development and Workforce Committee and is an active member of the ASHP Section Advisory Group of New and Emerging Leaders. Through his professional organization involvement, he has contributed to efforts around school of pharmacy and health-system leadership collaboration, professional advocacy, and ambulatory pharmacy advancement.
His current research interests are in the areas of oncology, ambulatory, and specialty pharmacy services practice advancement, pharmacy technician advancement, and pharmacy workforce leadership development.
